How the Inline Filter Cartridge Works
The Biocera alkaline antioxidant cartridge uses several combinations of mineral crystals formed into bioceramic balls. As the water passes through this filter, it is changed in several ways. In particular, the cartridge has the following effects:
• Increases the pH of filtered water, typically to between 8.5 and 9.5.
• Changes the water's Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) to between -100mV and -250mV. This gives the water antioxidant properties. The antioxidant effect is due to the release of molecular hydrogen, which research is proving to be a highly powerful antioxidant.
• Reduces the size of the water molecule clusters, so that it is more easily absorbed in the body.
• Infuses the water with beneficial alkaline minerals such as potassium, magnesium and calcium.

The alkaline antioxidant filter cartridge contains a special blend of the following ceramics:
Alkaline Antioxidant Minerals: Makes the water more alkaline and changes its Oxidation Reduction Potential, giving it antioxidant properties. As the water passes through the filter, it reacts with the special media to release molecular hydrogen, a powerful antioxidant.
Antibacterial Ball: Helps to reduce pathogens and facilitates the uptake of heavy metal ions.
Tourmaline: Reduces water molecular cluster size and emits far infrared rays known for their healing properties.
The ceramic materials are manufactured by Biocera, one of the world's leading companies in the development of bioceramics for healing purposes. The alkaline antioxidant filter cartridge is 230mm long. It is easily fitted horizontally before the final carbon filter of your existing filtration system. The filter is designed to treat 4,000 to 5,000 litres of water before requiring replacement (approx 1-2 years for the average household).
